- Kargil gets its second Passport Seva Kendra, inaugurated by MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh and Ladakh LG VK Saxena.
- The Post Office Passport Seva Kendra is the second such centre in Ladakh after Leh.
- It is the 457th POPSK in India, set up by the MEA with the Department of Posts.
- Kargil residents will no longer need to travel to Leh or Srinagar for passport-related services.
