- Lovlina Borgohain beat Kazakhstan’s Natalya Bogdanova 3-2 to reach the Asian Games women’s 75kg boxing final.
- She became the first Indian woman boxer to reach two Asian Games finals, after also making the final at Hangzhou.
- Lovlina lost the first round but fought back in the next two rounds to defeat the reigning 70kg world champion.
- She won silver at the previous Asian Games and will fight for her first Asian Games gold on October 2.
