Meta becomes one of Microsoft’s biggest AI customers

As reported on August 20, Meta has become one of Microsoft’s largest AI customers, spending hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
Meta reportedly consumes trillions of AI tokens every week through Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.
The company uses Azure to access AI models from multiple providers, including for software development and model evaluation.
Microsoft’s Foundry AI marketplace had around 1,00,000 customers by July, with ByteDance, Adobe and Perplexity among other major users.
