More than 1.9 million urged to evacuate as powerful typhoon batters Japan
- Japan is bracing for record rainfall as Typhoon Dujuan approaches Tokyo and other parts of the eastern coast.
- Authorities warned of floods and landslides, with rainfall forecast to reach 350 mm in Tokai and 300 mm in Kanto and the Izu Islands.
- Dujuan is packing sustained winds of 126 km/h and gusts up to 180 km/h as it moves toward Japan.
- The storm has already disrupted travel, with around 300 flights cancelled and some train services suspended.
