More than 400 French schools closed following student-police clashes
- More than 400 French schools have been shut as students protest teacher shortages and poor facilities.
- Education Minister Édouard Geffray said 65 school staff were injured including 40 head teachers.
- Police said 1,949 people were arrested on Thursday while 305 officers were injured.
- At least 30 universities have also been blockaded as students joined nationwide demonstrations.
