National Child Rights Commission rescues over 3,800 children from labour exploitation
- The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights NCPCR rescued over 3,800 children from child labour during a nationwide campaign.
- The Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign ran from June 12 to August 31, targeting child labour, trafficking and exploitation.
- More than 575 FIRs were registered during the campaign against those allegedly involved in child labour and related offences.
- NCPCR worked with state governments, district administrations, labour departments and police to rescue and rehabilitate the children.
