Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ sails past $1 billion at international box office

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has crossed $1 billion internationally, becoming the 17th film to reach the milestone.
The film is the first non-sequel, non-remake Hollywood movie since Avatar 2009 to surpass $1 billion overseas.
With about $1.014 billion overseas, the film’s worldwide box office has reached roughly $1.59 billion, making it Nolan’s biggest hit.
The film’s strong international run has been boosted by premium formats, including IMAX, where it has set major box-office records.
