North Korea's nuclear status is permanent and irreversible, says its foreign minister
- North Korea’s Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said the country will keep its nuclear weapons “forever.”
- Choe called North Korea’s status as a nuclear-armed state “irreversible” and said it would remain unchanged.
- Her remarks came after South Korean President Lee Jae Myung called for a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula at the UN.
- North Korea also said it tested upgraded 240-mm multiple-launch rockets on September 22, with a range of 115 km.
