Over 400 apps with hidden sexual deepfake tools bypass app store checks despite bans

More than 400 apps with hidden sexual deepfake tools passed app store reviews, an investigation found.
The apps were downloaded more than 3,50,000 times, and many were rated as suitable for all ages.
The apps reached Apple, Google and Meta platforms though all three ban deepfake content outright.
The network was traced to Chinese developers, and Meta has acted against 10,000 ad accounts.
