Over half of US colleges see fewer international applications as visa uncertainty grows

- Visa delays, denials and tighter immigration rules are making students more uncertain about studying in the US.
- Around 73% of colleges with international students said lower enrolment has reduced their revenue.
- The findings came from a July 2026 survey by the American Council on Education covering 328 senior college leaders.
