Pakistan extends its airspace ban on Indian aircraft until 24 October, for a seventeenth time
- Pakistan has extended its airspace ban on Indian aircraft until 24 October, in a notice issued on Wednesday morning.
- It covers Indian-registered aircraft, anything owned or leased by Indian airlines, and military flights too.
- Both countries closed their airspace to each other after the Pahalgam attack of April 2025, and have kept it closed since.
- Air India has estimated the closure costs it about $600 million a year, and has asked the government for compensation.
