Pikachu just spent 67 days in space. Here’s why

A Pikachu plush returned from the International Space Station after spending 67 days in orbit with European astronaut Sophie Adenot.
The Pokémon mascot orbited Earth around 1,040 times between April 11 and June 17, 2026, during its space journey.
The European Space Agency and Pokémon partnered for World Space Week 2026 to make space exploration engaging for all ages.
The partnership includes travelling exhibitions across European museums and special Pokémon GO activities featuring Astronaut Pikachu.
