- 13,092 schools across India are being upgraded under the PM SHRI scheme, close to its target of 14,500 schools.
- The selected schools include Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and NCERT-run institutions.
- The scheme has a ₹27,360 crore budget and is expected to benefit over 20 lakh students.
