- Thailand won the toss and chose to bowl first, sending India in to bat in their tournament opener.
- Rawal came in at No. 3 after Smriti Mandhana’s dismissal and scored 22 runs off 18 balls, including two fours and a six.
- She earned the opportunity after an impressive ODI start, having scored 1,189 runs in 27 ODIs before receiving her maiden T20I cap.
