- Sindhu lost to Tokyo Olympic champion Chen Yu Fei 21-11, 18-21, 10-21 in her third match in 24 hours.
- Hooda lost 16-21, 21-14, 17-21 to three-time world champion Akane Yamaguchi in a closely fought contest.
- Doubles pairs Treesa Jolly-Gayatri Gopichand and Dhruv Kapila-Tanisha Crasto also lost their quarterfinals.
