Railways Minister says delayed Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train launches in 2027

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will be inaugurated in 2027.
He gave no month, and noted construction began only in 2021, four years after the foundation stone.
Maharashtra’s then government refused permits, and Japan would not start without clearances for all of it.
Blame lay with India as a whole rather than any one party, Vaishnaw said of the lost years.
