RBI could raise repo rate to 5.75-6% in H2 FY27, says Union Bank
- Union Bank of India expects RBI to raise the repo rate to 5.75-6% in the second half of FY27.
- UBI projects two to three 25-bps hikes from the current 5.25%, likely starting in December.
- Foreign exchange inflows have surged to $136 billion, pushing core liquidity from Rs 4.82 to Rs 8.05 lakh crore.
- RBI may use VRRR and CRR tools to absorb excess liquidity before the October policy meeting, UBI said.
