Romania’s 5-km table breaks Guinness record, raises funds for hospital
- Around 20,000 people gathered in Bucharest, Romania, to create a 5,055-metre-long table and set a Guinness World Record.
- The “Uniting Table” was made from recycled materials, stretching from Unirii Boulevard to Constitution Square.
- The event raised funds for a new children’s psychiatric hospital at Bucharest’s Obregia Hospital, estimated to cost €16.5 million.
- The new facility is expected to treat more than 5,700 children with severe mental health conditions each year once completed.
