Sabarimala names new chief priest ahead of annual pilgrimage season

Areekkara Subrahmanyan Sankaran Namboothiri has been selected as the new chief priest of Sabarimala Temple.
A Damodaran Namboothiri has been selected as the new chief priest of Malikappuram Devi Temple.
Both priests will serve for one year and assume charge on November 16.
The Mandalam-Makaravilakku pilgrimage season begins on November 16, a day before the temple opens for the season.
