Samay Raina slams YouTube over alleged changes to its view-counting system
- Samay Raina criticised YouTube over a recent change to how video views are counted.
- He said the new system can register a view as soon as a video starts playing, even if viewers leave almost immediately.
- Raina argued that inflated view counts make it harder for creators to measure genuine audience engagement.
- He also questioned why YouTube would make a change that, in his view, could hurt creators who rely on meaningful engagement metrics.
