SBI confirms a customer data breach, with the full scale still unverified

SBI reported to stock exchanges that 3,897 customer records were found on the dark web.
The exposed data includes names, mobile numbers, dates of birth, addresses, email IDs and loan records.
A group calling itself Siriusim claims to hold 3.75 lakh records. SBI is still checking whether the data is real.
The bank says there is no material impact on operations and has brought in a CERT-In empanelled agency.
