Tamil Nadu CM Vijay drops cases against farmers, teachers filed under DMK rule
- Tamil Nadu CM Vijay said on Wednesday all cases against protesting farmers, teachers would be withdrawn.
- He said the previous DMK government under MK Stalin treated protestors inhumanly between 2021 and 2026.
- Farmers had been booked, including under the Goondas Act, for protesting SIPCOT and the Parandur airport.
- Vijay said the move would strengthen democratic rights and rebuild trust between people and the government.
