Telangana launches TG-TMARS to bring traffic enforcement and road safety under one system
- Telangana has created TG-TMARS, a specialised police wing for traffic management, road and rail safety.
- It will handle traffic enforcement, highway patrolling, crash investigation and statewide monitoring.
- Every police station will get a Road Crash Response Officer to help accident victims and record crashes.
- The bureau will also oversee e-challans and offences like speeding, drunk driving and wrong-side driving.
