Telangana records all-time high power demand of 19,543 MW
- Telangana recorded its highest-ever power demand of 19,543 MW at 10:41 am on September 9, with utilities meeting the demand.
- The peak was 23% higher than the 15,906 MW recorded on the same day last year.
- The new record also surpassed Telangana’s previous peak of 19,506 MW, recorded on March 27, 2026.
- Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka reviewed the power situation, while a September 10 meeting will discuss plans for rising future energy needs.
