- Air Force One flew unusually low over Washington DC on Thursday, prompting frightened residents to call 911 fearing a plane crash.
- The flyover was a Halloween surprise, with Donald Trump and Melania waving from outside the White House.
- The DC City Council said it was told about the flyover just 15 minutes before it happened. The plane was flying as low as 400 feet above the ground.
- • The White House said the Federal Aviation Administration FAA followed all flight safety rules and called the criticism a “story about nothing”.
