UK flight chaos: 1,750 flights cancelled after air traffic control failure
- More than 1,750 flights were cancelled across the UK after a technical failure hit air traffic control systems.
- Around 5,800 flights were scheduled across UK airports on Tuesday, with 1,750 cancelled.
- 541 flights were cancelled at Heathrow, the UK’s busiest airport, as disruption spread across the country.
- Ryanair said 1,50,000 passengers were affected, with delays of up to eight hours and more than 200 flights cancelled.
