UK to increase student visa maintenance requirement starting November 2026
- The UK has raised the maintenance requirement for student visas, so applicants must show more money than before.
- It is now £1,529 a month for courses in London and £1,171 elsewhere, or about Rs 16 lakh over nine months.
- The figure is pegged to the maintenance loans British students receive, which are reviewed every year.
- So it will keep rising on its own, with the last two increases already coming in January and November 2025.
