Union Minister Sonowal confirms all 24 Indian seafarers safe after tanker attacks
- Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said on Friday that all 24 Indian seafarers on two tankers hit in separate incidents are safe.
- The MT ST 3, with 15 Indians on board, was struck by a projectile in the Strait of Hormuz on 16 October.
- The chemical tanker YARA J, with nine Indians on board, was hit by a drone at an anchorage in Romania on 14 October.
- India has condemned such attacks at the UN Security Council, calling them legally and morally indefensible.
