UPI transaction volume reaches record high in August
- UPI processed a record 24.51 billion transactions during August, up 22% from the same month last year.
- The payments were worth ₹29.82 lakh crore, marking 20% annual growth but a marginal 0.2% fall from July.
- NPCI data showed UPI handled 791 million daily transactions, averaging ₹96,205 crore in value each day.
