US expands visa social media checks to three more categories from October 1
- US expands social media screening to I, TN and TD visa applicants from October 1.
- Foreign journalists, USMCA professionals and their dependants will face online presence reviews.
- Applicants must set all social media profiles to “public” or “open” for vetting.
- The checks already cover students, H-1B workers, exchange visitors and several other visa categories.
