Uttarakhand removes over 17 lakh names from voter list, adds 4 lakh voters
- Uttarakhand removed more than 17 lakh names from its voter list and added over four lakh new voters in the revision.
- The total number of registered voters in the state dropped from 84.29 lakh to 71.58 lakh after the exercise ended.
- More than 8.26 lakh names were deleted because those voters had died, moved away, or were listed twice.
- Voters left out of the list can still apply to be added by filling Form 6 online or through local election officers.
