Vijay’s ‘silent government’ strategy is unlike Tamil Nadu’s movie-star CMs
- Tamil Nadu CM Vijay has largely avoided unscripted media interactions and stayed silent on several state and national issues.
- His “silent government” approach relies on scripted speeches, official statements and occasional recorded video messages.
- The strategy is being compared with former actor-CMs MGR and Jayalalithaa, who also kept media interactions limited but remained more publicly engaged.
- Supporters call it a “talk-less, work-more” approach, while critics say it leaves the government’s position on key issues unclear.
