Vladimir Putin to join BRICS Summit in India for talks with PM Narendra Modi
- Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the BRICS Summit in New Delhi on September 12-13, the Kremlin, Russia’s presidential administration, said.
- Putin will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his India visit, the Kremlin said.
- The two leaders are expected to discuss defence, trade, nuclear energy and other areas of cooperation.
- Putin’s visit comes as India and Russia look to strengthen their long-standing strategic and economic ties.
