West Bengal CM Adhikari announces stricter laws against ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Land Jihad’
- West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, on Sunday, announced plans for stringent laws against "Love Jihad" and "Land Jihad."
- He reiterated plans to implement the Uniform Civil Code UCC, similar to Uttarakhand and Gujarat.
- A high-level committee headed by former SC judge Ranjana Prakash Desai is reviewing the state's draft UCC bill.
- Adhikari also announced a Rs 1,000 crore religious tourism circuit, to be completed within two years.
