WhatsApp starts rolling out third-party AI agent chats on Android
- WhatsApp has begun rolling out support for third-party AI agents, letting users chat with external AI services, on September 4.
- Users can connect up to five third-party agents at once and access each through a dedicated WhatsApp chat.
- The feature is currently available to a limited number of Android users in select countries, with no wider rollout date yet.
- Unlike regular WhatsApp chats, third-party agent conversations are not end-to-end encrypted, WhatsApp says.
