12-member UP family rescued from alleged bonded labour in Hyderabad
- Twelve members of a Uttar Pradesh family, including six children, were rescued from a Bachupally facility over alleged bonded labour.
- Recruited via a trafficker, the family was promised Rs 12,000 monthly wages but received about Rs 1,000 weekly instead.
- Workers alleged threats and physical assault when they sought wages or expressed a wish to return home.
- Officials found women and children living in unventilated rooms also used for cooking and defecation.
