30-day mobile recharges are coming. Here’s what changes
- Prepaid mobile users will now get 30-day recharge plans under new telecom consumer protection rules.
- The new plans could cut annual recharges from 13 to 12 compared with the common 28-day cycle.
- Telecom operators will also offer voice-and-SMS-only plans for users who do not need mobile data.
- Raghav Chadha welcomed the changes after raising concerns over limited and inflexible recharge options in Parliament.
