AFSPA extended for 6 months in disturbed areas of 3 Northeast states
- The Centre extended AFSPA for six months from 1 October in specified "disturbed areas" of Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh.
- In Manipur, the declaration covers the whole state except areas under 13 police stations across five districts.
- In Nagaland, AFSPA applies to nine districts, plus areas under 21 police stations in five other districts.
- In Arunachal Pradesh, it covers Tirap, Changlang, Longding districts and three police stations in Namsai district.
