AP gives Skyroot 300 acres at Rs 5 lakh per acre for Space City
- Andhra Pradesh allotted 300 acres to Skyroot Aerospace in its proposed Space City, Nara Lokesh said.
- The land was offered at Rs 5 lakh per acre, with the state betting on the Hyderabad-based space startup’s potential early on.
- Skyroot plans to build its launch vehicles in Andhra Pradesh and launch them from Sriharikota, according to Lokesh.
- Lokesh said the state is also backing eVTOL aircraft, defence manufacturing and the fighter-jet ecosystem as part of its push to become an aerospace and manufacturing hub.
