Maharashtra FDA cancels Cipla's drug sales licences over violations in Pune
- Maharashtra FDA cancelled the drug sale licences of Cipla Pharma & Life Sciences’ C&F unit in Wadki, Pune, effective August 27.
- The action followed violations linked to the packaging, storage, stock records and recall of Reactin Plus tablets.
- FDA officials found unauthorised claims on the medicine’s packaging and seized stock worth around Rs 11.19 lakh for withdrawal.
- Cipla has challenged the order, saying the matter is under judicial consideration and that there are no concerns over the safety, quality or efficacy of its products.
