Blood, rat droppings found at iconic Mumbai cafe Kyani & Co
- Maharashtra FDA suspended Kyani & Co’s FSSAI licence after inspectors found rat droppings, flies and dead cockroaches.
- The inspection also found cats, blood inside a refrigerator and an open sewage manhole in the cafe.
- At Colaba Sweet Mart, officials found live lizards, cockroaches, flies and larvae in food preparation areas.
- The action was part of a statewide drive that saw 30 food establishments lose licences and over 50,600 kg of food seized.
