BTS return after four years, and reach the VMAs' top category
- BTS returned this year with Arirang, their fifth album and the first they have made as a full group in four years.
- Its lead track Swim went straight to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in March, and has stayed there 20 weeks.
- That has now brought two Video Music Awards nominations, for Best K-pop and Song of the Year, a top prize.
- Only one K-pop act has ever won that prize, Rose of Blackpink last year, so BTS would be the second.
