- The petroleum ministry on Saturday rejected concerns that revised Compressed Biogas prices will burden CNG users.
- The procurement price paid to producers rises 43% to Rs 2,110 per MMBtu under the GOBARdhan scheme.
- Government support of Rs 10 per kg cuts the effective increase to about 28%, the ministry clarified.
- The cost will spread across a domestic gas pool 2.5 to 3 times larger than before, softening the consumer impact.
