Centre adds five officers to NTA as exam system overhaul gathers pace
- The Centre has appointed five officers to the National Testing Agency NTA as part of a major overhaul of its exam system.
- The appointments include one joint secretary, three directors and one joint director, taking the NTA’s directors to five and joint directors to four.
- The government has created 16 new posts at the director and joint director levels to strengthen the agency’s permanent workforce.
- The overhaul also includes a four-tier question paper checking system, removal of around 600 exam experts and plans to strengthen security at NTA facilities.
