Chinese startup unveils AI-powered ‘air skateboard’ for personal flights
- Chinese startup CoolFly has unveiled Urban, described as the world’s first standing-posture manned flying vehicle.
- The “air skateboard” uses AI-powered sensors to track shifts in the pilot’s centre of gravity and adjust rotor thrust.
- Urban has four enclosed ducted fans and can carry pilots up to 1.9 metres tall and weighing up to 90 kg.
- CoolFly plans mass production this year, while the vehicle is being developed for tourism and personal recreational flights.
