'Claims against me are just Rs. 3,992 crore and not Rs. 22,000 crore,' says Subhash Chandra
- A major controversy erupted over the NCLT’s approval of Essel Group chairman Subhash Chandra’s Rs 6.5-crore repayment plan against loans worth Rs 22,006 crore.
- The media baron said on Thursday that the claims against him as a personal guarantor stood at Rs 3,992 crore.
- In a statement, Chandra said he had not personally borrowed money from any lender and was only a personal guarantor for loans raised by Vivek Infracon, Spirit Textiles and Churu Enterprises.
