- CM C Joseph Vijay announced a ₹1,200 crore integrated Secretariat-Assembly complex in Chennai on September 3.
- The new complex will cover 20 lakh sq ft and house all Tamil Nadu government departments.
- The project aims to shift administration from the historic Fort St George campus to a modern facility.
- Vijay also announced plans for Tamil Nadu Olympic City and a Motor Sports City in Chennai.
