Defence Minister Rajnath Singh says US-Iran war delayed India’s rise to third-largest economy
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India could have become the world’s third-largest economy sooner if not for the recent global crisis.
- Speaking at a Goa martyrs' memorial event, he expressed confidence India would certainly reach that milestone.
- Singh said defence exports rose from Rs 600 crore to around Rs 50,000 crore since 2014, with production at Rs 1.80 lakh crore.
- He inaugurated the Martyrs' Memorial at Patradevi village, built to honour Goa's liberation struggle heroes.
