Delhi govt drops ACP Vivek Bhagat from Additional DCP charge amid inquiry
- Delhi Police ACP Vivek Bhagat’s Additional DCP charge has been withheld amid an inquiry into harassment allegations by women journalists.
- Bhagat had been assigned the temporary Additional DCP duty charge on October 5 along with 11 other DANIPS officers.
- The Delhi government said the process began on August 25, before the October 3 protest and the allegations surfaced.
- Bhagat voluntarily asked not to take up the charge until the Crime Branch inquiry into the allegations is completed.
