- Delhi’s festive and wedding season trade could lose nearly Rs 250 crore a day if protests and road curbs block access to markets.
- The warning came from the Confederation of All India Traders, which put the capital’s daily turnover at Rs 500-600 crore.
- Old Delhi and New Delhi markets such as Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar and Connaught Place are the ones most at risk.
- The body has asked political parties to hold protests only at designated sites between October 2026 and January 2027.
